RAPT 2019 Conference

June 30, 2019

Indiana is always in need of parents who will open their hearts and open their homes to a child in need of a safe and stable environment. The Resource and Adoptive Parent Training (RAPT) conference brings together a community of caregivers who are focused on finding long-term permanency and establishing lifelong connections for the state’s most vulnerable youth.

Since 2014, the RAPT unit for the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) has hosted the annual conference for parents seeking to adopt through DCS, kinship/relative care givers and child welfare experts.

The conference offers resource families educational opportunities, licensing information and a community network of experts and peers whom parents and professionals can rely on for advice and information.

RAPT trainers will conduct informational sessions, offer a Sneak Peek of Trainings (SPOT) to interested caregivers and train foster care licensing employees of Licensed Child Placing Agencies (LCPAs) who are affiliated with DCS.

Finding permanency for Hoosier children is the common thread that brings a special group of caregivers together for the annual RAPT Conference. For more information about how you can help a child find permanency, become a relative/kinship caregiver or foster parent or, visit indianafostercare.org.
