Kayla's Pride and Joy

Kayla’s Pride and Joy

“I have a three-year-old autistic daughter. Her name is Kendall and she is my pride and joy. The most important thing to me is to make sure she is pushed to her potential. I had checked out three different schools for her and had no luck with any of them. I came across the ABC center in Indianapolis Indiana, I left my information in an email and I honestly didn’t expect to hear from them for a few weeks. Two days later I received a call and I was very excited. Everyone I talk to was so sweet and so kind they all had my daughter’s best interest at heart. After exchanging a few emails we set up the evaluation and a tour for me and my daughter.

My daughter was hesitant at first and wanted me to walk with her. Once she got to the gym she quickly let go of my hand and ran to the trampoline, I didn’t see her until the evaluation was over. Every question was answered and every need was met. At the end of our tour I told Kendall to tell Jill bye and Kendall went and gave her hugs (that’s a huge step for her) when Kendall gave her a hug I knew I had picked the right place for Kendall. Since that day Kendall has already showed a huge improvement and is excited for school every morning. I am very pleased with the school, the staff and everyone else who has made this possible for us. I cannot wait to see Kendall stride more and more every day.” -Kayla, Mother of Kendall age 3.

ABC has grown to be the largest and longest running ABA therapy provider in the state of Indiana. With 20 years under our belt, we are building brighter futures every day. We are now proud to offer 7 outpatient facilities throughout the state. This includes our Indy North Center, Early Childhood Center, Carmel Center, Indy West Center, Greenwood Center, Richmond Center and our Terre Haute Center. Each of our centers offers a unique blend of amenities including custom-crafted indoor gyms and individual therapy rooms. In addition to Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy and Behavior Consulting we offer the following services to ALL children with Special Needs: Diagnostic Testing, Indoor Swim Lessons, and Speech Therapy. The best part is we are enrolling now at select locations!

ABA Therapy

All seven of our locations treat patients on a one-on-one basis with a treatment known as applied behavior analysis. Behavior analysis is a scientific approach to understanding how the environment influences behavior. The term “behavior” refers to all types of performance, not only inappropriate or undesirable actions. Speech, language, social, learning, daily living, leisure and vocational skills all are behaviors. ABA focuses on using proven procedures to increase desired behaviors and decrease unwanted behaviors. These techniques can be used in structured settings (e.g., classrooms and therapy clinics) and more natural settings (e.g., playgrounds and restaurants). ABA has been used successfully with people of all ages, with and without disabilities, in a variety of settings to promote independence, quality of life and happiness.

Diagnostic Testing

At The Applied Behavior Center, we provide specialists who offer diagnostic services for any suspected condition whether it be mental health, special needs or other circumstances. Unlike many of our competitors, our current wait time is less than two weeks and you receive written assessment results within 7-10 days of your appointment!
