Adventures into Print
Who does not love spending time outside with their child during May and June? There are so many things to do and places to go. However, spending time outside in your backyard or at the local park is an excellent adventure for you and your child. You can go on a scavenger hunt for all items that are green or shaped like triangles. My favorite thing to do is collect the items and make an experience book. The book is beneficial in allowing the child to use their imagination and experiences to share with other family members and friends. Have the child pick a favorite item from their nature walks outside and glue onto a piece of paper. Allow them to dictate what they want to say and even “write” it out while you provide the full sentences. You can also grab your cell phone, snap some fabulous shots, print those, and insert them into the books! There is nothing like a homemade book about an adventure! You can even use this on your summer vacations! Have fun! Explore and write it out!
